Tour description
You will be picked up from your accommodation in Trieste at 9.00 a.m. to start a wonderful day out visiting Slovenia's attractive and cosmopolitan capital. You can discover the splendours of this fascinating city on foot and/or you make use of the bikes at your disposal to explore the highlights and the secret corners of Ljubljana pedalling across its numerous bridges, through its open squares, fine buildings and unique surroundings. You can visit St. Nicholas cathedral and the colorful marketplace, cross the original Triple Bridge and Dragon Bridge, see the town hall and go up the hill to the medieval castle for splendid views over the town. Reaching into the very heart of the city, the Tivoli Park and the Tivoli Mansion are also worth a visit. Once you have seen all you can see in Ljubljana, shopped for souvenirs and enjoyed a local specialty at one of the many characteristic downtown outdoor cafes, a leisurely one-hour drive will take you back to Trieste in the late afternoon after a great day out!
