Tour description:
Experience a special day cooking with Rosina and/or Rita
in the equipped kitchen of their lovely homes located in
one of the most characteristic and historical towns of Friuli
- Cividale - also well known for it top wines, great food
(Gubana is a delicious local speciality, a type of strudel
with apples, pine seeds, raisins and grappa) and close position
to the finest wine cellars of the region!
Rosina and Rita are two delightful ladies and self-taught
cooks, very passionate about sharing the many recipes passed
down from generation to generation in this beautiful corner
of north-eastern Italy. Always using the season's freshest
ingredients, they will teach you how to prepare typical
Italian and Friulian recipes, followed by lunch and tasting
of local wine.
The cooking class begins at 11 a.m. and lasts approximately
3 hours. In the afternoon, guided visit of Cividale del
Friuli, with its famous Devils' Bridge, mysterious Celtic
Hypogeum, historical Lombard Temple as well as its lively
atmosphere that you can breathe strolling around the narrow
cobble stone streets leading to the enchanting Main Square.
