Located
in the center of the Friuli plain, this charming little
city has a distinctly Venetian
flavor which can be noted in Piazza Libertà, where
the Loggia del Lionello reminds you of the Doge's Palace
and the clock tower bears the lion of St. Mark and two moors.
We'll stroll down the most characteristic streets and visit
the 14th-century Cathedral and the Oratorio della
Purità that host celebrated paintings by the last of
the great Venetian artists, Tiepolo. Through its
Palladio-designed passageway, we'll then reach the beautiful
castle on top of a hill from where we'll enjoy wonderful
views over the town and the unique countryside with the
gorgeous Alps and beautiful hills on the background.
